Maintenance
Care

Ongoing 1:1 sessions after finishing physical therapy to check in and maintain improvements for chronic conditions or general wellness.

Finishing a course of rehab doesn't mean progress has to stop. Maintenance care is for patients who've completed treatment with SABI and want continued 1:1 support — staying ahead of re-injury, building on the strength you've gained, and working toward longer-term performance and wellness goals.

Sessions are personalized and adjusted regularly, so your program keeps evolving with you rather than staying static.

Maintenance care is for anyone who's completed a course of pelvic floor or orthopedic rehabilitation and wants ongoing 1:1 support to protect and build on that progress, rather than waiting for a setback to bring them back to therapy.

What that looks like depends on the person. Postpartum clients often continue with pelvic floor and core check-ins as their bodies keep adapting after childbirth, or as they prepare for a future pregnancy. Athletes and active individuals — runners, lifters, anyone in high-impact training — use ongoing sessions to manage pressure through the core and pelvic floor and catch early signs of strain before they turn into injuries. Older adults benefit from continued strength and muscle support to help manage bladder and bowel control and reduce fall risk as the body changes with age. For chronic conditions such as interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, IBS, or persistent pelvic pain, periodic check-ins help keep flare-ups manageable instead of starting treatment over from scratch each time symptoms return. And for anyone recovering from prostate, gynecological, or gender-affirming surgery, maintenance care helps preserve the function and comfort gained during initial treatment for the long run.

Rehabilitation focuses on resolving a specific injury or condition. Maintenance care picks up after that goal is met, shifting the focus to strength, mobility, injury prevention, and long-term function rather than treating an active issue.

Frequency is personalized based on your goals and how your body is responding. Dr. Shi will recommend a cadence and adjust your program regularly as you progress.

Unlike our other services, maintenance care generally isn't covered by insurance, since it's considered ongoing wellness support rather than active treatment for a specific condition. Payment is due at the time of service.

Your healing begins with one step — expert, unhurried care awaits you.
